Standing up for human rights in the international network of the academies.

Prof. Zenner serves as national chairman for Germany in the international human rights network of academies and scientific societies (HR Network), where he works alongside Nobel laureates.

His activist work includes prison visits to unlawfully detained persons, helping to contribute to their release. Another example concerns human rights violations against refugees.

Dive into a webinar with international speakers participating in the HR Network and learn about ways to stand up for human rights. Speakers include, besides Hans-Peter Zenner, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Denis Mukwege from the Congo, Esther Mwaikambo, former president of the Tanzania Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Peter Vale, Academy of Science of South Africa.
